Semperfli Fly Tying Wool
Semperfli Fly Tying Wool
Semperfli Fly Tying Wool is available in four colors and are perfect for creating great looking bodies on your nymphs, wet flies and streamers. This range of colors may seem limited but each one has been crafted for a specific reason. See below for additional Information
Semperfli Perfect Chadwicks 477 Substitute
This '477' has been developed by Semperfli to replicate as close as possible to the classic Sawyer Bug tying wool as originally used by Frank Sawyer. It comes as a 3 ply making tying of the nice thick Sawyer Killer Bug and the Utah Killer bug. However to perfectly replicate the original Killer Bug simply split the 477 Substitute from 3 ply to one and it matches even the diameter of the original 477.
You are buying Semperfli Chadwick's 477 Substitute not the Original Chadwicks 477 shown on any photos on this page - they are purely for illustration to show you how close to the color match is. The original card of Chadwick's 477 here is worth a small fortune and locked in a safe!
Semperfli Oliver Edwards Rhyacophila Wool Substitute
We used this many years ago and had great success with the original wool from Oliver Edwards. It had been discontinued but we kept some by for that odd very special trip. The team at Semperfli decided to get more to match exactly the original material from Oliver and we do not believe you will get any closer match to the original Rhyacophila wool.
Semperfli Peeping Caddis Body Wool
Peeping Caddis wool is just that, a wool which creates caddis bodies. It will can make lots of caddis bodies. Burn the end and it looks just like a caddis used for Hans Van Klinken Peeping Caddis Pattern.
Semperfli Perfect Shrimp Wool
Perfect Shrimp wool is just that, a stunning pink shrimp body with that cracking pink loved by grayling. Simply wrap around the hook and add a shellback or wrap the wool as the body, Add Semperfli pink straggle string for legs then add a shell back for that stunning effect.
