Semperfli Extreme String contains synthetic hackles embedded with metallic glint thread and dyed in amazing colors, making this the ultimate hackle for predator style flies! The 40mm hackles are capable of producing extreme flies, hence the name.
Semperfli Extreme String works extremely well and produces loads of movement if you take a movement to brush the fibers with a toothbrush to separate them even further. This can be done before or after tying them in. This will add bulk without weight to your flies.
Available in a wide range of colors this material is perfect for your bass, pike, muskie, large trout and steelhead or any salt water predator flies. The 40mm hackles let you create large flies with bulk but keeps them extremely light weight.

For new and experience fly tiers the Semperfli Extreme String 40mm is ideal for large predator fishing. The 40mm strands are a mix of solid and metallic flash that will work great as an attractor for Pike, Shrimp or Salmon bodies.
Bulky when tied with 40mm strands however when wet the soft fibers lay down to create a true body profile for flies and creates a great movement due to the long strands.
You can also cut the strands to 20mm to use as a winging material for Trout and Salmon flies.
